What is C?

C is a low level programming language that has inspired most of the programming languages, and with the times has grown into many forms. C++ is statically typed, free-form, multi-paradigm, compiled, general-purpose programming language, it is considered a middle-level language. C# is a multi-paradigm programming language encompassing imperative, declarative, functional, generic, object-oriented (class-based), and component-oriented programming disciplines; it was developed by Microsoft, designed for the Common Language Infrastructure.

Well...erm, by definition C is a high-level programming language. Also, for those interested, C# is a .net framework language.

By definition, maybe, but it is considered low level because of how it micro manages memory.

And if it was not low-level, how could C++ (C with just more features and OOP support) be called a middle-level language?

C++ is a high-level language, too. -_- Assembly is low level.
