C# to Php

I'm going to have to learn php soon, because I need it for a new job. Up until now, i've always programmed in C#. Are there things I should know about php that are strange or different from a C# perspective? Thanks in advance.

Sure, thanks hope someone can help me, I'm rather scared by php, seems like one big unstructured mess to me.

lol, I tried switching from c# to php once, I got bored. But it is easy, but yes all language that arn't typed like c or c# look very unstructured to me too.

Just the whole structure with random functions that don't seem to follow any naming convention worries me. I always liked how logical the .Net framework is set up.

I dunno, I sometimes like languages that aren't as strict as some like C.

Yeah, I know, and am sorry if it's an inconvenience. The most apropriate area for this is in code help, under web dev. Unfortunately, when I initially moved this, we did not have help under web dev, only under programming. I only recently got the permission of the creator to add a code help forum under the web dev category and my OCD-ness compelled me to move this thread to it. I'm really just trying to make sure that everything is in the most appropriate area possible, so that others viewing the forum can more easily find the information they are looking for. Also, please refer to my first post regarding moving this thread. I did specifically state that if code help for web dev were created that I would place this thread there, and nobody objected.

It's not that I disagree, just that I don't get why you need confirmation.

Oh, ok. I simply am trying to be polite when I use my god-powers. I like to make sure that those that are invested in the topic know where it has disappeared to before I move it.

EDIT: Though, I do see how asking for confirmation is quite unnescessary. I'll remember that in the future since, admittedly all I've done is pollute the content of the topic. My bad.
